Hi Dave,
Q) How many photographs do you take on the day?
A) This depends on several factors like weather conditions, venue, my attendance
time, and the
amount of guests, but on average I take between 100 to 800 images approximately during
the whole day. You will be provided with a pass worded web gallery of the best
photos. During year 2011 most couples ended up with at leat 300 images.
Q) Did
you take ALL the photos on this website?
A) 100% yes. I may occasionaly have an assitant with me and if they take
any photos, I will credit them accordingly in anything
I publish. The assistant will not take any of the main photographs.
Q) Can you take some photos in the Church/registry office during the service
A) Unfortunately, many vicars and registrars seem to have an issue with this, as it can be distracting, according to them. Often, us photographers are put in their place like naughty little school boys and girls if we so much as move a muscle during the service. Personaly I think it is your day and you should call the shots, but it is therefore best to check on the V & R rules at your wedding venue to clarify this. I would like to add that quite a few vicars and many registrars are also very obliging, but they are a rare breed. (Whinge over :) )
Q) Can
you do civil partnerships?
A) Yes of course.
Q) Do you take any formal/posed photographs?
A) I generally like to keep a low
profile during the day ( I am a big bloke and it aint easy ) and do take a lot of candid's. I recommend that a small number of family formal shots are
taken as well. I welcome any requests you may have, so if there are particular shots you have
in mind I can carry these out for you. It is YOUR day not mine!
Q) Do you
charge extra for re-prints?
A) If you select the time and DVD options, I give you all
the original, hi quality, un-watermarked image files on the DVD. This gives you control over
your own photographs and enables you to make as many reprints as you want.
You can purchase prints at a reduced rate in addtion to the DVD if you wish. In fact it is music to my ears.
If you
choose the time and prints only options, please do not hesitate to ask me for my
price list via the contacts page. I would like to add that the more prints you
buy from me, the more you save. I gladly pass on all suppliers multiple discounts they
offer to me, on to you!
You will receive
your wedding prints approximately 7-14 days from ordering, often sooner.
Q) What kind of
albums/mounts can we order?
A) Albums / Photobooks / Mounts / Canvas's can be ordered at an additional cost
if you choose, or you can buy your own from your suppliers
Q) How long do
you stay on the day?
A) You can choose to have your whole day covered
from the bride and groom’s preparations right up until the first dance/cake cutting. This allows me to capture as many aspects from your wedding day
as possible. If the night is going well, I often out stay my welcome at no extra cost.
Q) Do you travel
and how much do you charge?
A) Yes I cover throughout the World. ( I like Turkey in September if anyone wants to take me to their wedding for a fortnight) Mileage
will not be charged for weddings taking place within a 30 mile radius of
Holbeach, Lincolnshire. Weddings taking place outside this area are charged a
small extra fee as pre agreed. Overnight accommodation at extra cost (Travelodge
type) may be necessary for
any shoots held more than 100 mile radius of Holbeach, Lincolnshire.
Q) Do you cover weddings all year round?
A) I will cover weddings held during any
time of the year – that’s 365 days. However, If I am not home in time for the arival of Father Christmas, my kids will not be amused, so be it on your head.
Q) Can you
produce canvas wall hangings from our photographs?
A) Yes, canvas wall hangings of various sizes
can be produced on request. Please see "The Big Finish” on my website.
Q) Can we meet you before the
wedding to discuss our requirements?
A) It is beneficial us to meet for a
consultation before the wedding. Once you book me, we will meet again approx
two weeks prior to the wedding day for fine tuning. I can also attend your rehearsal. This helps me to get
to know you and as a result make sure we are prepared for your special
day. It is important for you to discuss what type of photographs you
really like and I will need details of how you plan the day.
Ideally I
would like to see the venues too, but please understand this is not always possible.
Q) How do
you deal with low light and bad weather conditions?
A) I am able to deal with most lighting
situations. I have strong build equipment with all the essential
accessories/skills to combat difficult conditions.
Q) What
else can you photograph other than weddings?
A) I can photograph many things without you
needing a mortgage to pay me, including, Portraits, Pets, Kids, Horses, Private
Functions, Parties, and more. Please contact me for more
information via the contacts page
